An RS-232C interface is developed for the Electronic Associates Incorporated 8400 Mod II Hybrid Computing System. Data conversion from ASCII to BCD occurs in the interface. Register entry capability on the original equipment is retained as is the capability to return to the original system configuration using an International Business Machine (IBM) Selectric Data Terminal. A Texas Instruments Silent 700 Model 743 Data Terminal is used as the new RS-232C device. (author).
