Air Force Logistics Command (AFLC) manages over 500,000 stock-numbered items. Stockout of similar items are generally assumed to have an equal impact upon the Air Force mission. Item/mission essentiality codes assigned to all recoverable items are devices using the USAF priority System so that essentiality codes reflect item importance to the Air Force mission. A method of ranking all aircraft and missile weapon systems and their engines is developed and the computer model employed is listed. (Author).
