The primary step in the aquation of alpha-Cr(trien) (C2O4) (+) was found to be the formation of the previously unreported Cr(trienH) (OH2) (C2O4) (2+), probably of the alpha configuration. The acid dependence of the observed pseudo-first-order rate constant can be empirically described by kobsd = (k1K(H(+))/(l+K(H(+)). (Author).
